Snowman Soup

I found this great "recipe"on Pinterest many times.
And finally it was time to make them. September was to soon :) ha ha
It was a nice little project, very fun to make.
The children will give them to their teachers before the Christmas Holiday starts.

Snowman soup
(in Dutch: Sneeuwpop Soep)

Recipe:
1 sachet with Hot Chocolat Mix
1 Candy Cane
few chocolat kisses (also know as M&M's)
handfull snowballs (mini marsmallows)

For the link to the template of the label click here  to: Kate Hadfield Design.
The text I used is in Dutch, but if you Google, you'll will find many in English.
Text, in Dutch:

Sneeuwman Soep

Homemade Lemon & White tea Scrub

I was looking for a great Teachers gift.... and found it!!!
First I was looking to bake something, again... or recipes for cookies in a jar, when I stumbled on to this, it's perfect!
Homemade Lemon & White Tea Scrub.
I started by making the Lemon scrub, but my lemons didn't have enough sent. so I added a few drops of fragrance oil from the Body shop. I used White tea, but I can easy see me making this in December with Cranberry or Cinnamon.

1 1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup olive oil (almost any other will do fine, like coconut or almond)
2 tbspn lemon juice
3 drops fragrance oil (or esoteric oil)

Mix together in a bowl, have oil and sugar nearby so you can add to your liking.
And done!

I used an old jam jar, clean it really good.
Spoon the scrub mix in it.

From felt I cut a circle and put it over de lit, holding it on place by a rubber band.
The label I adopted from : Joy Ever After, Printable cookie and gift labels
I made the silhouette from my daughter and added these to the labels.
The spoon I got from a thrift shop, I love those. I also found 6 other great spoons... so more scrub coming up!

Jungle party at school - Go Diego Go

My eldest daughter had a jungle party at school today. She was dressed up as Diego (Go Diego Go).
I made a few things myself :)
From an old jacket I cut off the arms and glued on a badge.
And I made the Rescue Bag from a t-shirt and made the face with felt.

Other things that make me happy

As you might know, in Holland we cycle....... A LOT.
We got all diffrent child seats too. My youngest was getting to big for my front seat. And the Eldest not ready yet to cycle on 2 wheels herself.
I saw 2 other mothers with an extra saddle on there bikes.
So after some digging:

We tested it yesterday. I'm still able to cycle normal and my little one still sits comfortable.
Even my eldest tried, she also sat well and felt like a queen :)

Now I'm still able to cycle with my 2 girls. No hot cars in the summer, just slightly breeze - cycle trips.
:) :) :)

Ever since my eldest doughter went to school, I want a Goodbyn lunchbox for her... bit expensive.
So guess what I bought :)

And by winning I got the Bento Jibes again. So I might slip in some Bento this week, ha ha ha
